Club Level) who will be only to glad to help.
To all those that are new to Little
Athletics, please have a read of these handy "How-To-Help"
and "Parent
Handbook" booklets, which will provide some valuable
information on how each event is run, and how you can contribute
to the running of the day's events.

Introduction To Coaching Course
The Chelsea
Little Athletics Centre will be hosting an Introduction
to Coaching Course (ITCC), to be conducted on Sunday the
4th of October 2009.

The ITCC
is aimed at giving people with little background
knowledge in athletics the ability and confidence to
coach basic level athletics to children. The course is
great for parents or older brothers and sisters who want
to know a little bit more about the sport and how to
coach children, and to assist in training at Centre
level. The sessions include both theory and practical
elements.
The course
comprises 13 modules, covering all athletic events. This
includes information on the general principles of each
event and handy tips on training sessions. Sections on
warm ups, coaching young athletes and the rules and
regulations of Little Athletics are also included.
The cost of
the course is $99.00 incl. GST and participants will
receive an ATFCA Coaching Handbook, VLAA branded Polo
top, Race Walking Booklet, On Track CD, Level 1 & 2
Officials handbook, Additional Coaching & Training
Programs CD, ITCC certificate, morning and afternoon
tea. BYO lunch.
Attendance
at all sessions is compulsory. |
