The 32nd Annual Open Day conducted by the Chelsea Little Athletics Centre was held on Sunday the 13th of November 2011. We kept our fingers crossed on the weather front and this seemed to work well. Almost in a carbon copy of last year, we were again fortunate (only a very brief shower in the early afternoon), with the threatening forecast of possible storms in the late afternoon. We can only praise the efforts of many wonderful people who ensured that the program was again closely adhered to and ran on time.

An event such as an Open Day can only operate due to the assistance of many people and we offer our sincere thanks to all of the parents and visiting officials from other Centres who gave very generously of their time to assist with the running of events. Due to their efforts Chelsea continues to have a reputation of running  a very well organised competition, and providing a friendly competitive atmosphere.

This year the combined efforts of the athletes saw a total of 28 new records set, 16 in boys events, and the girls broke 12 records.

Thank you again for your attendance and support, we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and look forward to seeing you all back again in 2012.
